The Funding Supplement is a member-only publication, identifying federal and foundation funding opportunities that support either tech-based economic development directly or scientific inquiry and R&D. Our members, in turn, can parse and distribute the funding announcements to their client companies and researchers. Dozens of organizations and academic offices across the country redistribute SSTI-generated funding announcements through their own client networks.

In 2006, SSTI's Funding Supplement made its subscribers aware of more than 1,500 different opportunities to secure funding. Competition for federal research funding is growing, particularly as program budgets have been relatively flat or declining in recent federal budget cycles. But your tech companies and faculty researchers are at a greater advantage if they are not even aware of all the opportunities available to them.

Although, the Supplement is not exhaustive, the opportunities listed in each week’s issue provide application information, eligibility criteria and submission deadlines and collectively offer a glance at what is available. Additional funding opportunities and complete solicitation listings are available through FedBizOpps and the Federal Register.

Everyone has the opportunity to receive the Funding Supplement by becoming a member of SSTI.
